If my neighbor who has bedbugs is moving from our apartment building into another apartment building in the city, do I have any legal rights to notify the new landlord that his/her new tenant will be bringing bedbugs with him? Hopefully so, otherwise the epidemic in our city/county/state of North Carolina will continue!!! The aforementioned tenant knowingly moved into our apt. building from a boarding house that had bedbugs. Now most of the apts. in our building have the bedbugs he brought. Is there any legal method by which the apt. dwellers in my building may be compensated for our exterminating expenses since this tenant is the source of our infestation? Thank you for your response.
